Austin Meeting—P2Rx Marketing


Background

Past marketing activities have resulted in:
1) P2Rx brochure that can be customized by regional centers,
2) PowerPoint presentations available on the P2Rx website to support outreach efforts,
3) purchase of a P2Rx blimp to draw attention to and enhance interest in P2Rx products at conferences.

As part of the 2002-2003 P2Rx goals and objectives, $15,000 is currently available to hire marketing professionals to access needs and develop a marketing plan


Suggestions for future marketing activities

1) Centers coordinate focus groups to get input on P2Rx products, ideas for improvement, and marketing. Develop coordinated efforts on delivering products to potential users and partners.
2) Within regions and nationally, collect and evaluate data (Web trends, surveys, input from focus groups or workshops, other data which might be helpful in future plans and marketing).

3) Purchase additional promotional items for "give-aways" at conferences such as P2Rx cups or mugs, tattoos (Kevin - I have some washable tattoos we have used that were a lot of fun and I'm going to bring some to the meeting - the group will probably not like them but why not ask - they are really cheap too.), and possibly larger items such as t-shirts. Suggest small items be given away freely but larger items such as cups, a chance at a drawing for a t-shirt, or opportunity to fly the blimp be given in exchange for filling out a survey.
