Summary of FY03 P2Rx Deliverables
IMPROVE TOPIC HUBS
£ Have a process in place to perform
monthly link checks and annual content checks of Topic Hubs the Center has authored
£ Provide a navigation link to other P2Rx
topic hubs. (Either content share all hubs, or provide a link to other topic
hubs.)
R Adopt QA/QC standard (done at P2Rx Administrator
level)
£ Apply QA/QC standard. Hub authors will
contact topic experts to provide review and participate in a user survey and
incorporate feedback, as appropriate
£ identify technical experts
£ conduct expert reviews, perform user survey, incorporate
feedback
£ expand references for expertise associated with topic
hubs
£ Improve consistency of the hubs among
Centers
£ include an e-mail contact or way for hub users to provide
feedback (“suggest a link” and “rate this link” functions have been removed)
R develop and implement modularized code for topic hubs
R install search engine code (to search a specific hub)
£ develop keyword procedure (a master database that tracks
keywords and reconciles numbering issues)
£ complete all standardization that will be discussed
at Omaha web meeting
£ Author any new topic hubs Center committed

£ Maintain existing topic hubs authored
by Center
IMPROVE & MAINTAIN PROGRAMS DIRECTORY
£ Each Center to keep its Regional Directory
up to date locally, reviewing existing information and adding new programs
£ Ensure National directory is current
by sending revised database to P2Rx Administrator as updated
£ Develop QA/QC document to address scope
of data collection and display issues. Programs directory subcommittee on QA/QC
(Laura, Crispin, and Jean) has addressed some of these issues
£ establish way to eliminate duplicate records
£ implement any other agreements coming out of Omaha meeting
PROVIDE A NATIONAL RAPID RESPONSE SERVICE
R Each Center will operate and maintain
an online rapid response service on its site for technical inquiries submitted
by our users
R Promote this service on each Center’s
site (and P2Rx site)
£ P2Rx will prepare a survey methodology to
evaluate customer satisfaction and will add it to each Center’s site. (Online
feedback is one method to do this. Results could go into a database.)
£ P2Rx will prepare a reporting format to
measure use of the online technical rapid response service
£ Center responses to rapid response
questions should include a link back to the feedback form or method chosen to
accept user feedback
£ Report this data to P2Rx Administrator for
aggregation by 9/30
PILOT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A P2 NEWS
SERVICE
R Conduct survey of what Center’s are
currently doing in regards to news
R Determine how this could be shared
and needed infrastructure
R Consideration of P2 news collection
policy, database and standardized format for shared publication
£ Develop work plan for phases II and
III leading to full implementation in future years
£ If Centers support the effort and it
is determined to be viable, it will be an item in the FY04 proposals
MEASUREMENT
R Activity measures. Provide to P2Rx Administrator
for aggregation
R Web measures. (Try to get Webtrends version
7 or higher.) Filter out Center’s use of its own site, as well as spiders identified
by P2Rx. Provide to P2Rx Administrator for aggregation
R Webtrends reporting. Post Webtrends summary
on Center’s web site. This allows us to see which search engines are referring
to our sites, what content is accessed, and potentially helps develop marketing
material
REGIONAL COLLABORATIONS
£ Submit information to NEWMOA for the Mercury
Reduction Programs Database. (NEWMOA will provide quarterly request as a reminder)
R Submit information to PPRC for the Request
For Proposals Clearinghouse. (PPRC will provide quarterly request as a reminder)
R each Center will submit information
about at least 5 RFPs
£ Submit information to Peaks for the Homes
Across America project. (Peaks will a request every 6 months as a reminder)
£
each Center will submit information about at least 1 resource efficient home
and 2 assistance providers specializing in resource efficient construction technology
in each state
OTHER CENTER
WEB PROJECTS
£ Complete any additional projects as described
in Center’s grant. (e.g. new topic hubs, library services, web site maintenance,
outreach efforts, etc.)

EPA SEARCH ENGINE
£ Tag Center pages for indexing by EPA’s
spider
£ Include EPA search code from Center
sites to allow users to search EPA
£ Share individual center logs with Scott
Butner to see how the traffic between Center sites and EPA is developing
£ Implement “no follow” code in metatags
to improve search results
£ Implement other tasks that would improve
search results
