WRRC FY 2003 HIGHLIGHTS
WRRC Website
We continue to enhance our website by adding new material and features. In FY 2003 we added new pages for:

Regional P2 related Meetings and Conferences
P2Rx National P2 Programs Directory
In addition we added approximately 10 additional topic hubs from P2Rx centers. WRRC sponsored the Meat Processing Topic Hub prepared by NC DPPEA.
Updating our site continues to be important. We gave our home page a minor makeover, revised our logo, updated links in 5 of our industry sector pages and checked monthly for broken links and kept them up to date. We are continually updating our vendor database and are presently on a 12-15 month cycle for checking entries.
P2 Library
Usage continues to grow. Page views increased over 50% and site visits more than doubled. We are now averaging over 2300 visits per day and expect 3,200,00 page views for FY 2003.
We have over 26,000 items in our online library and are increasing at a rate of 4-5 thousand items a year.
We have installed a new SQL server to improve response and file management capabilities.
Rapid Response
Ask Rudy continues to be a popular feature on our website. We addressed over 300 Ask Rudy and other requests for technical information this fiscal year.
We created a computerized database in FY 2003 for maintaining an archive of Ask Rudy and other technical assistance requests. This has allowed us to implement a feedback link on all our email responses and will allow us to put the archive on line at a future date.
Computer Services for P2Rx
WRRC took the lead in modularizing the code used for the Topic Hubs. This has greatly enhanced the ability of all the centers to update and share material.
We have also installed Cold Fusion software to be compatible with the other P2Rx centers. Previously we have had to recode all the programs used jointly.
Communication
WRRC sets up and manages a State/EPA P2 Coordinators regional conference call for both Regions 3 and 4 approximately every 6 weeks. In FY 2003 we coordinated and distributed minutes for a total of 17 conference calls.
WRRC maintains several pages of particular interest to states. We post a State Highlights page every 6 months prepared by each of the states prior to a roundtable and maintain links to the state P2 Newsletters. We also maintain a Region 4 DOD Partnership website and a listserve for the DOD Partnership communtiy.
As travel funds permit, WRRC attends and participates in Regional Roundtables and national NPPR and P2Rx meetings as well as the Region 4 Air P2 meeting in Orlando and other state sponsored P2 Meetings.
WRRC also participates on the monthly EPA P2 Coordinators conference calls and the P2Rx administrative and Web group calls.
Region 4 Technical Assistance
WRRC continues to participate in all regional sponsored Multimedia inspections of federal facilities. We participated in 4 during FY 2003.
John Calcagni co authored a paper with Dan Ahern on P2 Measurement that has influenced national policy on this topic and will be incorporated into the GPRA goals measurement program.
WRRC prepared a Compliance Assistance document and CD for inspectors delineating how to perform an inspection of a Ship Building or Ship Repair facility for the Surface Coating MACT.
