Tribal Pollution Prevention Website

A collaborative effort between various partners, this web site is targeted to tribal leaders and environmental managers looking to learn more about pollution prevention (P2), including resource conservation and best management practices. P2 can assist tribes with achieving environmental sustainability, and will help improve tribal communities and the lives of tribal members. Launched in October of 2004 by the NPPR Tribal P2 Workgroup, this site is an evolving resource and solution center.

Created by a web team at the Montana State University Extension Service - Peaks to Prairies Pollution Prevention Information Center, the site was designed with tribal culture in mind. The Crow tribe developed the graphics, layout and color scheme. Although the images cannot reflect the culture of all tribes, they do strive to reflect tribal values and activities to preserve the earth for all generations, current and future.

With an abundance of material including Project Resources, a Calendar of Events, Contact Information, Funding Details, and Tribal News, we invite you to use this portal as a resource for all your tribal P2 efforts.

The Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange is a national network of regional information centers: NEWMOA (Northeast), WRRC (Southeast), GLRPPR (Great Lakes), ZeroWasteNet (Southwest), P2RIC (Plains), Peaks to Prairies (Mountain), WRPPN (Pacific Southwest), PPRC (Northwest).
