Crispin reports that she’s seeing a date discrepancy on updating hubs.  Prabin will follow up.

Prabin, Tyler, Terry and Andy got together to discuss program directory.  They decided to get finish the application that will allow an outside user to update their own program.  Once that’s done, Prabin will send update to everyone.  He will add a “status” field that will change to false when someone makes a change.  It will automatically send e-mail to center and user telling them nothing will appear until verified.  www.p2ric.org/programsadmin/programs.cfm  Prabin is also working on automatically creating metatags for programs from the programs directory.  This will help in browser searches.  This will be done in a couple of weeks. Laura and Prabin will meet on a call Monday, Dec 6 to discuss how to display national programs directory.

Neena sent e-mail right before the call that lists the detail of changes when changing the subsection order for Topic Hubs.  You have to add a field in the subsection table.  Prabin can write a simple file that will automatically create a link and put it in the table instead of people having to download the database, update it, and upload it back to the server.  Each center can update their topic hub subsection order.  Once each center has updated on suborder, it will show on the central registry and you can pull data from that.  In the index.cfm page, it’s under the topic hub admin folder.

Will you update?  Newmoa – done, WRRC - yes, GLRPPR - yes, P2RIC – yes, Peaks - yes, WRPPN – yes, PPRC - yes

Neena and Andy completed protection of the Topic Hub administrative forms.  The only change is in the hub admin file so when they update for reordering, it will also protect admin form.  It restricts the ability of access to certain sections to the authoring center.  Activate the hub, WTGFH, remote content administration, and view the topic hub subsection order are still available to non-authoring centers.  Neena removed the NAICS for now.

The users manual for the Programs Directory is available at

http://www.p2rx.org/admininfo/usermanual/ProgramsAdminManual.htm.  There’s also a user manual for cvs, http://www.p2rx.org/admininfo/usermanual/CVSUserManual.htm.

Curt reworked what Prabin had done, RJ added more.  These two links are available under P2Rx administrative page.  Curt wants to make some changes to admin forms.  On first page, rather than just say, “add new” say “add new program”.  There are a couple other submit buttons that don’t flow like the other screens do.  Curt will make a list of proposed changes, Laura will review and send to the group.  Prabin is also working on topic hub admin user manual.

There are “global” grammatical edits to be made, based on feedback from our Topic Hub editor.  P2Rx footer: regions (e.g. “northeast”) should be capitalized (e.g. “Northeast”); ToC: “Welcome to the Topic Hub for EMS”; should be “Welcome to the Topic Hub for EMS” (the words “Topic Hub for EMS” should be bold).  Tableofcontents.cfm on P2rx mod has been changed.  This is an additional update after Terry’s update.  The editor changed where “bolding” occurs in the title line, which will help out in our Google ranking.  Prabin says if you’ve customized your toc file, you go in there, make that change and you’re done.  If you don’t customize, just grab it from cvs and you’re done.  When we did this footer, it wasn’t out on cvs.  Prabin updated the cvs, so if you update your cvsmod folder, you’ll get the updated footer file.  Laura says the hyperlink to P2Rx had four w’s.  Prabin says its coming from credit.cfm.  There was a double forward slash in the link to the P2Rx image.  It will make your link check go faster if you fix these.  The editor also said we need plurals on the counts, but some are just one count.  For example, twenty four articles and reports verses one article and report.  Andy will make change to code and post to cvs.  When you grab the P2Rx footer, please include the image path for your centers logo, reminder language is in there.

The P2Rx footer should point to WRPPN, not west p2net.  Prabin has new version posted.

When Andy was working with P2WIN on sharing hubs, they were planning to assign value of “international” to their resources.  They want some groupings under that.  They came up with a list of six terms, Canada , Mexico , Europe, South America, Asia Pacific, and Africa.  Andy proposed we add these to our data guidelines.  We don’t have a controlled list of terms field, it’s just free text.  Data guidelines says national, international, state, regional, local, etc.  Most of our records are “national”.  All centers (NEWMOA, WRRC, P2RIC, Peaks, WRPPN, and PPRC) agree to this.

Programmers are planning to meet toward end of January.  This involves Andy, Terry, Tyler, Prabin, and Scott.

Scott and Prabin reported on their progress toward our Topic Hub keyword conflict resolution.  Scott wanted all the queries that get data from keyword table in all files for topic hub application.  Prabin worked on creating the administrative form to add keywords or edit keywords.  An overview on where the team was heading was provided.  Scott was trying to normalize some of the base table elements.  Create the connection to existing IDs to the thesaurus.  Scott was wrestling with the data and needing to normalize the data, Prabin thinks he’s done with this part.

Jean proposed the week of May 9th for all web personnel to meet.  NEWMOA, WRRC, GLRPPR, P2RIC, Peaks, WRPPN, and PPRC are all available.
